How to Contribute

The Friends of the Butte Archives was established as a non-profit organization in 1999. The Friends of the Archives is an educational charitable organization whose purpose is to assist the Butte-Silver Bow Public Archives meet their mission. The Friends of the Butte Archives raises funds through the sale of publications, accepting memorials and other donations and sponsoring events.

The Friends of the Butte Archives Board of Directors are: James Dorr Johnson, Meg Sharp, Kathy Morris, Gail Barrett, Ann St. Clair and Marissa Newman. Our accountant is Michele Palmer, CPA.

While the Archives receives basic support from the Butte-Silver Bow county budget, it also relies on the support of the community to accomplish its mission and expand its work.

If you would like to contribute to sustain and expand the work of the Butte Archives, you can send a tax-deductible contribution to the Friends of the Butte Archives, P.O. Box 81, Butte, MT 59703.

If you would like to send a tax-deductible gift in someone else's name, a card announcing your gift will be sent to the family or person you have so generously honored. The amount of the gift is not mentioned. If you would like us to send a card, be sure to include your name and address and the name and address of who should receive the card.

If you would like to consider a larger gift, or a gift of specific equipment or property to help the Archives, call us for details.
